Parking Authority
The Covington Parking Authority was created in 1974 for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, adding to, extending, improving, equipping, maintaining and operating parking lots, parking garages, parking decks and other parking structures and any and all other facilities useful or desirable in connection therewith, acquiring the necessary property therefor, both real and personal, with the right to contract for the use of or to lease or sell any or all of such facilities, including real property, and to do any and all things deemed by the Authority necessary, convenient or desirable for and incident to the efficient and proper development and operation thereof.
The Covington Parking Authority oversees and sets policy for the parking in downtown Covington.
