A footage rate may apply in existing developments or where wiring must be installed elsewhere than in trenches, which were dug to install electric distribution lines. Any costs associated with rock trenching or removal and the cost of repair of existing privately owned facilities and landscaping shall be borne by the owner.

Additional Charges -
A monthly charge of $3.50 will be made for any pole which must be set to install the requested lighting. Where the customer is not the owner, a one-time charge to cover pole installation may be made. No charge will be made for poles which already exist for other electric facilities. A 30-foot pole (mounting height 24-25 feet) will normally be provided. A cash customer contribution for extra height may be requested.

A charge equal to the cost that the City incurs to provide electricity to the security light may be made if a power source is not available at the location where the light is desired.

Minimum Contract -
Two (2) years for lights installed on existing electric utility poles.
Five (5) years for lights where a new pole must be provided.

Other Provisions -
A charge for repairs needed because of avoidable damage or vandalism.
Rates include maintenance of the lighting fixture but not removal / clearance of trees or limbs that obstruct the illumination provided by the light or relocation of the pole or light.
All customary City policies related to utility service apply to security lighting.
