Collection System
The collection system is a series of subsurface pipes and conduits which generally flow by gravity to the treatment plant.
When topography does not permit this, pump stations are installed at proper locations.

This flow of wastewater is categorized as being:

• Domestic        (kitchen, bathroom, laundry)
• Industrial         (defined by the products/byproducts of a manufacturing process)
• Storm              (flows from rainfall periods)

 Wastewater is delivered to the Covington WRF through gravity lines and 10 pumping stations.

The Eastside lift station serves a majority of the industrial customers.
Each station has a generator in case of power outage.
