1.    Call to order, invocation, and Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.

-Covington Fire Department to recognize four employees for promotions: Deputy Chief David Copeland, Captain Ricky Tanner, Lieutenant Danny Garner, and Engineer Brett Madsen.

2.    Discussion of the minutes from the Regular Council Meeting held on February 20, 2017.

3.    Discussion of changes to the agenda.

5.    Discussion of re-location of Johnson Cemetery.
6.    Discussion of request for road closure from March 1 - 3, 2017 for filming on Hendricks Street, expost facto.
7.    Discussion of request for road closure of Hunter Street from March 6, 2017 – March 6, 2018, for construction of Courthouse addition.
8.    Discussion of the first reading of an ordinance for the City of Covington:

“AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COVINGTON, GEORGIA, TO AMEND THE COVINGTON MUNICIPAL CODE, ENACTED AND ADOPTED ON THE 16TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2001, AS AMENDED BY PREVIOUS AMENDMENTS, TO ALTER CERTAIN PROVISION OF TITLE 15 OF THE SAID CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE PURPOSE OF DELETING SECTION 15.04.030 (BUILDING INSPECTOR – SALARY, TENURE OF OFFICE, REMOVAL, DISABILITY OF ABSENCE) AS A PART OF CHAPTER 15.04 (CONSTRUCTION CODES) THEREOF, TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.”
       
9.    Discussion of the first reading of an ordinance for the City of Covington:

“AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COVINGTON, GEORGIA, TO AMEND THE COVINGTON MUNICIPAL CODE, ENACTED AND ADOPTED ON THE 16TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2001, AS AMENDED BY PREVIOUS AMENDMENTS, TO ALTER CERTAIN PROVISION OF TITLE 15 OF THE SAID CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE PURPOSE OF AMENDING SECTION 15.24.060 (REQUIRED FIRE PREVENTION EQUIPMENT FOR CERTAIN LOCATIONS) AS A PART OF CHAPTER 15.24 (FIRE PREVENTION GENERALLY) THEREOF, TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.”
