3.Discussion of resolution to enact limited moratorium until August 4th in the acceptance of applications for gasoline station and gasoline station with convenience store.

4a. Approval election of GMA’s District 5 Officers for 2026-2027.
5. Discussion of request approval of Final Plat, PFP26-0002, for Brownbridge Rd Holdings LLC to dedicate infrastructure within the right of way to the city of Covington. Property is located at 6234 Turner Lake Rd (Southwest corner of Brown Bridge Rd and Turner Lake Rd), TMP C040 0002 009.
6. Public Hearing and Discussion of Special Use Permit request, PSU26-0003, to allow for an Auto Repair / Vehicle Refurbishment at 9157 Hazelbrand Rd, TMP# C081 019B.
7. Public Hearing and Discussion of Rezoning request, PR26-0003, this is a city-initiated rezoning of the property from CM (Corridor Mixed Use) to NM (Neighborhood Mixed Use) for property located on Eagle Drive, TMP# C083 004B, Owner: PDC Covington LLC c/o Property Tax Counsel.
8. Public Hearing and discussion of first reading of Zoning Ordinance Amendment to Sec. 16.20.690 – Swimming pool, home regarding removing the requirement of health department approval for residential swimming pools; and to Sec. 16.20.020.L. for the same purpose.
9. Public Hearing and discussion of first reading of Zoning Ordinance Amendment to Sec. 16.16.020 – Permitted uses, regarding removing the “Parking and storage of large vehicles” from the Use Table under the category “Transportation and Warehousing”.
10. Public Hearing and discussion of first reading of Zoning Ordinance Amendment to Sec. 16.28.070 – Designated corridor bonus density criteria, regarding removing the entire section of 16.28.070.
11. Public Hearing and discussion of first reading of Zoning Ordinance Amendment to Section 16.20.635.E. of the Zoning Ordinance concerning short-term vacation rentals in residential zoning districts to restrict the use of the property for lodging (residential) use only.
12. Discussion of amendment to Chapter 5.04, Sec. 5.04.010 - Occupation tax required.
13. Discussion of first Reading of Ordinance 09.08.010 draft parental responsibility ordinance.
14. Discussion of resolution adopting updated multi-jurisdictional solid waste management plan from Newton County Solid Waste Authority.
