The 2026 Covington Farmers Market Ag Day starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026 on the Square in downtown Covington. Vendors, tractors, music, face painting for a nominal fee by Powders and Paint, a petting zoo, and educational booths will be on the Square until 2 p.m. although sometimes our farmers market vendors run out early! Come out and enjoy a family friendly, sunny Saturday to catch up on your favorite vegetables, breads, sauces, spices, baked goods, meats, and more while the music of The New Apostles of Bluegrass fills the air. Businesses and restaurants on the Square will also be open!

Ag Booths and tractors provided by Berry's Tree FarmGeorgia Farm Bureau (Newton County)UGA Extension & 4-H in Newton County Newton County Rodeo, and Newton High School FFA.

There will be a partial Square closure to vehicular traffic. Church Street and Monticello Street within the Square will be closed. Eastbound traffic can travel in the south lane of Washington Street and westbound traffic can travel in the north lane of Clark Street. Eastbound traffic cannot enter the Square on Clark Street and westbound traffic cannot enter the Square at College Avenue and Elm Street.
