2025 Covington Christmas Parade
We can't thank the Covington Lions Club enough for their faithful and dedicated contribution to our community by planning the annual Christmas Parade for decades. With their support, the City of Covington and Discover Covington will continue this tradition starting in 2025!
The Annual Christmas Parade is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Applications will open on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 and the link will be listed here on our website.
PARADE ENTRY GUIDELINES & INFORMATION
- Participants cannot throw candy. All candy/favors must be handed to spectators. Walkers on the parade route may pass out candy or favors, but participants are not allowed to get on and off floats throughout the parade.
- The parade entry fee is $20.00 paid. The entry fee should not be paid until your parade entry has been confirmed/accepted.
- The parade is limited to 100 entries (Bands, floats, horse groups, walking groups, dance groups, etc. are counted as an entry).
- Parade starts at 10:00 a.m. All entries must be lined up by 9:00 a.m. except for horses.
- Horses will gather on Legion Field. Horses will go into the parade last after Santa Claus. The horse entries will not assemble on Newton Drive until it is closer to the time they need to start.There must be a clean up person behind your horse group or each horse must wear a bun bag. Negative Coggins tests are required.
- First-In First-Out Lineup: Lineup order in the parade is based on arrival. When you arrive at the entrance of the lineup area (intersection of Mill Street and Newton Drive) with your completed float, we will put in you in line on Newton Drive. No vehicles will be allowed on Newton Drive between Anderson Avenue and Mill Street other than parade entries.
